Atelier Duo is an interior design and décor firm dedicated to creating spaces expressive of the people who inhabit them.

More than favoring a particular style, Aida and Tonia take careful interest in how the various elements that make up a space coexist. By considering color, materials, texture, pattern, the depth and positioning of furniture and objects, we always seek to achieve balance, harmony, and dynamism in the space.

Our process is collaborative. We listen carefully and reflect your vision and your way of life. Good design is livable, and all spaces can be beautiful regardless of the budget. Simple changes go a long way.

Our approach is deeply influenced by our travels, growing up in Europe and our love of the natural world. We lean towards materials that are enduring and timeless. We delight in spaces that seem to have been gathered over time, that mix in the unexpected, the vintage and the new, and incorporate objects that have personal meaning from different places. This approach makes for environmentally sound living— an essential part of our design conversation.

Ultimately it is in the dosage of all ingredients at our disposal that beauty emerges. Sometimes it’s whimsical, sometimes sophisticated, sometimes casual, complex, or simple, but it’s always personal and unique. We create spaces that nurture, inspire and provide a ground for reflection and connection.

As a dynamic duo of creators and problem solvers, we bring our knowledge from previous careers in the performing arts, personal development, communications, and industrial marketing.
Services include space planning, room layout, selection of floor and wall finishes, paint and color scheme, placement of furniture existing or new, lighting, cabinetry design, furnishings, window treatment, kitchen and bathroom design. We are available for consultations with your contractors and subcontractors.
